When I went to animation university my instructors really tried to encourage everyone to always draw things in a different art style to exhibit how well you could adapt to different production’s art styles and this lesson never really escaped me even after graduating so when I was making the short story for this series, I thought the story would be best illustrated in a creepy/cute simplistic storybook type style. A little bit during this time I got REALLY back into PMMM so of course Gekidan Inu Curry’s style was a great influence for the art style.
Chapter 1
[Story/Theming Notes] Music is incredibly vital to my writing process which is trapping myself in my room and blasting music that fits the story I want to make and not leaving until I can fully imagine the entire story in my mind before writing all of the script. In this case Kikuo’s album First Act was the main inspiration for it all. I seriously couldn’t have made this all up without it.
